Climate
Andenes lies above the Arctic Circle, but the climate is relatively mild due to warm ocean currents. Summers are light and lively, with the midnight sun from mid-May to late July. Winters are darker, with frequent northern lights, and temperatures are generally milder than in many inland Arctic regions. Warm clothing is recommended year-round, especially during autumn, winter, and spring.
