Your experience begins at The Whale, the iconic experience and knowledge centre where you are introduced to the world of whales. Through immersive exhibitions and storytelling, you gain insight into whale biology, evolution and their close connection to the ocean – creating a valuable foundation before meeting them in the wild.
After your visit, the journey leads out to sea aboard a large and comfortable whale-watching vessel. The trip goes into the spectacular Bleik Canyon, one of the world’s most fascinating marine ecosystems. With experienced guides and whale researchers on board, you can observe whales up close in a calm, respectful and sustainable way.

Accommodation is located at Grønnbuene Rorbu Hotel in Andenes, just a 5-minute walk from The Whale. The hotel offers comfortable, well-equipped rooms of a high standard, with breakfast included. Fully renovated in 2024, Grønnbuene features a warm, modern style right on the waterfront. Here, you will stay in peaceful surroundings within easy reach of central Andenes, The Whale, and spectacular nature experiences.
Important information:
Please note that check-in for all guests takes place at Thon Partner Hotel Andrikken at Storgata 53, a 10-minute walk away. You will collect your keys here before proceeding to Grønnbuene Rorbu Hotel.
If no whales are spotted during a tour, guests may join another whale-watching trip free of charge on the next available tour or later, any day or year.

The tour operates with a minimum of 24 participants. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, Whale2Sea and Whalesafari Andenes reserve the right to reschedule the tour or offer alternative solutions. You will be contacted in advance should this become necessary.
Weather and sea conditions may result in changes to departure times, and the captain may cancel a tour for safety reasons. Whale2Sea and Whalesafari Andenes aim to provide notice of cancellations at least 24 hours in advance. However, unforeseen circumstances may require cancellations at shorter notice.
