International Design Team Visits Andøy

This visit gives the design team a unique opportunity to get to know Andøy and its residents. August marks ten years of planning for The Whale, and this will be celebrated with an evening event in Fyrvika on 10 September. The event is open to everyone. The design team will also take part in the event, and we will show a film created for the occasion by Svein Terje K. Eliassen and Svein Spjelkavik from God Strek, says Ilmoni. In addition, guests will, for the first time, experience a virtual tour of The Whale, based on a film created by the architects at Dorte Mandrup. “We also have a few surprises in store,” Ilmoni says with a smile. Exhibition director Hanne Strager and Camilla Ilmoni are looking forward to introducing this special delegation to Andøy and marking ten years of The Whale. “We have had a long journey to get here, and it is nice to look back, but we are very excited about everything that lies ahead,” says Strager.
