Findings Indicate Over 1,000 Years of Settlement and Activity in Sløyken

Archaeologist Jørn Henriksen presented preliminary interpretations from the Sløyken excavations, including notable finds such as whale bone, a probable late-medieval candlestick, Sámi craft items, dice, a cooking pit dated to around year 500, and large quantities of fish bones—supporting long-term settlement in the area.
